I was reading "Bobke II" the other day, and after completing the 1986 Tour, Bob Roll comments that it's good to be on a team that celebrates at the "Tex-Mex" restaurant, instead of a strip bar. I figured this was just Bob being Bob (especially considering his passion for jalepenos), until I was watching the "Crash!" DVD the other day, and during an in-race interview, Alan Piper talks about how soon the Tour will be over and he "will be in the Mexican restaurant, dancing on the table with Konychev."
Where/what is this Mexican restaurant? I've never been to Paris, but damn if it doesn't sound like the place to be after the Tour ends. If I do ever end up in La France, I'd like to visit the place just to pay homage. Anyone have any information about it?
