I'm sorry I been asking a lot of questions since I've got here but I've got a lot to learn about cycling :) and I've seen that this forum contains many respectful helpful people.
I am new to cycling, and a complete newbie when it comes to racing. I have no idea how the organizations that run the events work, as I don't live in an area where barely any events take place. Could anyone explain anything about how the category system works, and how you sign up and get started in it? Do you sign up to a cycling union to get an OK to join most races, or how does it work?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you have any links of sites that you know of that could help me with information, any links would be greatly appreciated as well. :D

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
