Building up a Cdale CX Disc bike - brake/hub/wheel ???s

So I just upgraded components on my Cannondale road bike and have a bunch of 105 components sitting idle. With winter riding around the corner, I was thinking that a cross bike would be the perfect solution for riding when the weather turns to crap up here in the Pac. NW. I'm thinking about picking up a Cannondale disc frame. I've got Avid mechanicals on my mtn bike and love 'em, so I'd like to go disc. Questions:

Anybody know the hub spacing on the C'dale disc frame? 130? 135? If it's 135, would I then need to get wheels built with a mtn disc hub and 700c rims? Also, what's the difference between the mtn disc brakes and the road discs made by Avid - just the spacing from the disc mount tabs to the rotors? I know this will sound like some annoying 4 year old - why are they different? Seems silly to me. Maybe I'm missing something. So many questions, so many miles.

can't answer the avid BBRD/BB7 question but as far as wheels go I went for DT SWiss 240s disc with BBRD disc brakes. So far so good - no complaints.

If you're running shamino I'd suggest that any shamino compatible disc hub (lx/xt) fitted with generic discs should do the job.

The difference between the MTB and road BB7 brakes is the amount of cable pull needed to make the brake do its job. MTB levers pull more cable than road levers.
