We have finally found the elusive clack, clack, clack noise that has plagued my EZ-3 for almost two years. Contrary to what your owners manual says about how to tighten the nuts on the rear wheels, here's what my LBS found is causing the problem.....seems that you need to back off the nut on the left wheel so that there is 3/8 of an inch of space between the inside of the wheel hub and the spacer that is between the hub and the edge of the axle housing......in other words, that spacer needs to be free from touching the wheel and the axle housing.....and while you're at it, back the right wheel nut off one full turn too.....we gotta protect our bearings. I had both my wheel nuts tightened as the owners manual said, and now we find out that the book is wrong.

Interesting. It doesn't cause problems with the wheel moving around laterally? I'd like to hear comments from trike owners; that much play seems excessive to me.

Ya, I have to agree with you. I've been watching the left wheel as I ride, and it doesn't seem to move laterally, so that makes me wonder why there is a spacer? Vewy, vewy stwange
