My greetings to all members of the bike forum.
To introduce myself, I am (almost) 61 years old.
Last week I received my 5e bike (the others are traded in). The frame mas special made for my, to adept my physical dimensions. The bike is all black (bbq black). The bike is completed with Ultegra 2005 (triple), mavic rims black spokes, and complted with Ritchey pro. I have a flightdeck on it. I still trying to get used to the shimano switching because my former bike did have Campagnolo veloce on it.
I live in the east of the Netherland, about 30 km from the German border. My average milage is about 4000 km a year and I ride with our local bike club 3 times a week. I am going to retire on December 1, 2005 and than I will have more time to do cccling.

Wow! I hope I'm riding as much as you when I'm 61. Are you a cycling fan? I've heard that cycling is very popular in the Netherlands.

I'am cycling for more than 20 years now. I am member of a local cycling club with about 150 members.
We cycle in three groups, one group with an average speed of 38 km/h, one group with an average speed of 32 km/h and the group I cycle in, with an average speed of 28-30 km/h. These average speed are planned, but depending of the conditions(weather, road type etc), these average speed might change.
Cycling is very popular in the Netherlands. Almost every one has a bike. I, personally has only three: one racing bike, one mountain bike and a trekking bike. My wive has two bikes: one trekking bike and a city bike.
