Advocacy & Safety - Oh yeah!! There is Justice in the world

As I was heading north through an intersection on a residential area with the right of way, a car just casually rolled through a stop sign causing me to come to a panic stop. It appears he looked right through me as he proceeded through the intersection never altering his speed or stopping. His window was open and I just kinda yelled "thanks a lot". Behind him was a green minivan from which a siren blared it's blip blip. An unmarked cop car. Yes sir. Made my day. Wish I would have stayed behind to hear the cop give him the "you know you almost hit that cyclist" wringing out.

I like stealth traffic cops. The Clark Co. Sheriffs and Washington State Patrol have a few absolutely civilian looking SUV's, black Fords and tan Chevys, that no one suspects until the lights behind the grille go on. I think they need to ham it up a little more; maybe install a kid seat, maybe slap a Trail Blazers or Mariners bumper sticker on.
