Group,

I'm from PA and am just starting to look into 'bents. I was wondering if the 'BentRide, which is being held soon up in the Finger Lakes region of NY, would be something worth going to. Can you window shop or test ride there, or is it really only for people who already own a 'bent?

Thanks,
Randy

On Saturday of the rally, there will be a large test-ride area, with several manufacturers represented. AFAIK it's open to anyone interested. But I'm not the authority. For more details you should contact Bryan at BROL.

I emailed Bryan a while ago and got no response. That's why I decided to try this forum.

Thanks,
Randy

Last year there were plenty of recumbent bikes and trikes to drool over AND test ride. There were very few static displays that couldn't be ridden, the vast majority of the machines brought by the dealers were in constant motion about the town square. I'm going to bring a stopwatch this year to try to figure out if Jao spends more time on two wheels on a trike than three (there was quite a debate about that going on last year).

Sorry I must have missed that e-mail. Test riding is what the 'BentRide is all about! Judging by the e-mails I've gotten, I think it's pretty safe to say that we will have more DF riders there than in any previous year. A lot of potential converts.

Great! Thanks for the reply Bryan. One more question for you guys. It sounds like Saturday is the day to be there for browsing and test riding. Where exactly do the manufacturer displays and test rides take place?

Thanks,
Randy

There should be a lot of cool bents there. I'll have my lowracer there and a catrike speed with knobby tires on it for fun. People can test out the catrike but not the lowracer.
hope to see you there.
Look me up on that day. I'll be somewhere near this bike.
