I found a bike dealer 30 miles away w/ a 2005 Specialized Hard Rock Sport Disc (Blue) ...the guy said he would sell it to me for the price of the BASE hard rock sport, which is $350. That is $90 off retail.......the only thing holding me back is the ugly color. Should I go pick it up? or is the disc brakes not that big of a deal that I should get the color i want in a base hard rock sport (black / silver)

I know I've made a lot of similar threads, but I just want to make sure I get the right bike for me.

All I'm asking is should I overlook the color to get the disc brakes model for the same price as the base? Or are the disc brakes not a big deal?

Sorry for all the similar posts....

To me the discs are worth the putting up with the colour.

If you want to spend another $100 or so (maybe even less) for disc brakes, you can install them on the base...

Sounds like a good deal to me. You might even start to like the color after awhile. ; )

i would get the disc, the base doesn't come with disc hubs.

Hey I would definitely go with the disk brakes model. They are very good brakes, and to me paint wouldnt really matter as long as the bike had good components, since the frame will just end up getting scratched or something down the line.

buy it if it fits.
