I'm getting ready for my winter commuting. Well, for what passes for winter around the SF Bay Area... a little cool (summer in SF is the coldest time though) and sometimes real wet.
I put some Freddy Fenders on, got my Ortlieb Back Rollers ready, have my Carradice poncho and J&G pants and boot covers and winter Gaerne high top boots.
For my Brooks B17 Champ Spec (green, woo woo!), I ordered one of the Velox saddle covers from Wallbike. Anyone here have any experience with them? I put it on the saddle when I got home and it's a very snug fit and appears to be waterproof (I doused it liberally with water and let it sit, and not a drop got through to the saddle). It seems like a big improvement over the Brooks cover I had previously, which leaked like a sieve and didn't really fit very well.
Is the Velox one durable?
