Favorites:

- Interpol
- Pixies
- Beck (Midnite Vultures)
- Iggy Pop
- Air

Anyone got any other suggestions in thei vein?

Whoops! Forgot the Doors! (and I was listening to them way before Damiano Cunego was a glint in his father's eye)

lots of skinny puppy, kmfdm, nine inch nails, diverje, foo fighters, they usually do the trick. I also find the song from this commercial ( http://www.boardsmag.com/screeningroom/commercials/1698/ ) really really motivational too, I listen to it almost exclusively when running...

i dont listen to any music when i ride but i listen to ANYTHING. unlike some people that say that and dont back it up. my clock radio is set on classical music, my stereo has iron maiden, RHCP, anthrax, lil john, green day, vanhalen, big and rich, public enemey, snoop dogg, Foreigner, and some other stuff, and my car has everything from house, trance, rock, metal, rap, miles davis, so their isnt any music that i dont like. (no new pop becasue im not that in to it but i have nothing against it)

I only listen indoors, so I have to keep it in my head when on an actual ride, but here it is:
Blur
U2
Foo Fighters
Cake
Clash

... and I can't believe someone wrote Paul Weller! Early Jam or late? I've been a fan since I first heard "Start!" in '79, but don't have his last two albums.

my college (south carolina) had a GREAT radio station..... and currently live in the broadcast zone of the greatest radio station on the planet: wncw (out of spindale, north carolina)

really want to see those '97s live someday.... think i have all but the most recent CD - i liked them when there were twangy and country, and i also liked them when they evolved into the catchy jangly pop band...

Great list!!! I'm a big fan of Cash, Earle, and especially X and the Burrito Brothers. When I bring up the Burrito Brothers and X, people just stare and say, "Huh??? Never heard of them," without having any clue as to how great and important these groups were.

Ah, but, these days, I listen mostly to classical CD's. Bought around 400 of them in the last year and a half. Favorite composers are Mahler, Sibelius, Janacek, Bartok, Martinu, Bruckner, Haydn, and Vaughan-Williams.

seems awfully juvenile, but i like alot of blink 182. not because it's especially good music, but because it has great tempo without too many stops and starts.

blink 182 - down, i'm feelin' this
hum - stars
filter - the only way is the wrong way
foo fighters - monkey wrench, everlong, all my life
saliva - your disease, click-click boom
gary hoey - drive(acoustic), surfdoggin
the used - the taste of ink, all that i've got, etc.

keep in mind i don't listen to music when i'm riding. these are just examples of what pops into head and plays over and over.
