Recreational & Family - I owe the cyclists I saw today an apology.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I have been in a crappy mood since this afternoon. Something set me off and it just wasn't going away. I had crawled into bed and was watching TV when I said to myself "Maybe a run will shake it away, just try it" So I jump out of bed, put on gear, suite up the dog, and go to make day light. I was not in the mood to run the streets around my house and since I was feeling bad decided to treat myself to a park run. I have been slacking seriously and at this point will do anything to get back into the groove. Well, I get out of the car, get the dog out of the car and go. I am running on the left side of trail. Running, stop for the dog ceremonial pee, running, stop for the dog ceremonial poop, running...OPPS,,,here comes a cyclist and I move over to the RIGHT hand side of the path. The guy stops dead in my tracks, I apologize and go on...Here come 3 more cyclists, Two go right, and one stays in front of me,,leaving me and the dog to go in the middle??WTH??? More cyclists,,,everyone is going to the left of me...I am starting to get annoyed. Too many people here at this park tonight, I was needing some Zone time. Ok, turn around,,,same thing. The group of three I had encountered earlier were on their way back and *BAM* same thing. I am so aggreviated now,,,plus I was not in a good mood to begin with. Roll my eyes and go on. Then come to the head of the trail, and a couple with 2 dalmations.PLease people,,I am so not in the mood. When I get to the car, I am giving the dog water and I am walking around to cool off when something in my head snaps and I realize (1st that I left my car window open "WTF" I am such an A$$) I was the one on the wrong side!!!!

I can not believe it!! I am sorry. I promise never to be that stupid again. Came home showered, took some Excedrins cause I had such a headache (I told you something snapped in my head). It was like I wasn't in my right mind-literally.

Sometimes when you really just want to be alone - life does not work that way. Be sure and wave to 6 cyclists tomorrow.

Bicyclists need to constantly watch out for obstacles, whether it be dogs, a rock, cars, or some runner who forgot which side you run on. There's no need to worry about offending bikers in such situations. My guess is you probably gave them a good laugh.

Go back to the park and repeat the run. Tell all the cyclists that you see, "Hey looking good!"

Otherwise, shake it off. It's called being human. ;)
