Hi,
I've got an Allez and know it's a pure road bike. I know it came with Alex cyclocross rims. With suitable tires, is the Allez "crossable", or is there too little clearance on in or whatnot?
Thanks.

Tire clearance might be sketchy, geometry will be a little awkward, and your brakes will become covered with mud in 10 minutes.
Should be fun though =)
If I put CX tires on my Allez Elite, I still wouldn't ride on my trails around here!
With CX tyres, you might be able to get away with some light trail riding or just playing around in grassy fields, otherwise just think of it as your bike being stocked with some pretty tough wheels for road riding and race training. I'd keep that Allez on the road and hook up with a CX bike in the future if you feel you really need or want one.
