Ok not an old time member, but 1/2 the topics on this subforum are supposed to be of something called "advocacy". Well, what the h*** does that mean?
I have my ideas, as I'm sure you do also. I don't want to poison or taint this question.
What are YOUR top ten pet peaves or issues that need to be pushed by riders?

I think the biggest issues that need to be pushed are:
1) Educate riders in safe lawful operation of their bicycles
2) Promote helmets
3) Promote cycling as a VIABLE alternative to motoring
4 steps of Advocacy:
1- Arguing or lobbying for a specific point of view.
2- Taking an extreme, radical point of view on the subject.
3- Refusing to compromise with those you who would help you because you are right and they are wrong.
4- Being on an ego-trip.
Yikes, I've been around advocacy groups way too long!
I think this forum is for commuters who want to talk, whine, rage, argue, whatever about traffic without having to wade through a million posts about "what bike should I buy" and "I'm a newbie to this commuting thing, please help."
