What's the easiest and cheapest way to etch some type of antitheft identification into a bike?
Get an engraving pen and ID under your bottom bracket.
Alternatively, stick a business card into one of your handlebars.

It's called a serial number and just register your bike. Costs $10 or so and at least around here, you do it at your local fire station so you get to hang around all those cool fire engines for a bit.

I'm gonna do that card in the handlebars thing. or into the tire, or the seat tube, or the fork.

I swear by where the sun and the moon now stand, the only card I will ever insert in my spokes will be made of special paper by one Gehmann company and perforated by myself, in the very center....... ...
