So I just landed some Tektro RX2.1 levers from a buddy but they don't fit my 26mm bars. While I'm not exactly in love with my current bars, I don't want to go and have to swap out my freakin stem too.

Would a standard LBS stock a standard shim to make this fit on non-oversize bars? Its kindof a random part to keep around. I found somewhere that sells it online, but they charge $6 for a set of 4. Come on, no one needs 4 shims.

$6 isn't a lot compared to a new stem not a lot at all if you factor in an affinity for the stem you've got. Besides, every time you break that assembly down is a good time to replace that shim.
