Road Cycling - Backlit Computers with Cadence ?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Sorry to keep pummeling this forum with post after post, but I am stumped.
Based on everyone's sound advice, I want to get a cyclometer with cadence.....but I ride at least 2-4 times a week very early in the morning when it is dark.
I simply cannot find a cyclometer that has a backlight .. AND has cadence.
If it exists, one you folks will know about it. Can you help ?
I don't know about back-lit computers, but I think there is a company that makes a small light you attach to the bars that illuminates your computer. Check Colorado Cyclist or Nashbar, they might have it in their catalog.

Check out the Polar S series. I use the Polar S-710 with the optional wireless cadence sensor. I really love it because it works great. It also has a button you can push that will turn the back light on for a few moments. Also Colorado Cyclist has a Sigma light that you can use for any computer. Check it out at:

Good luck,

I don't know how I missed it. You guys came through again, now I can go buy that Cat Eye Astrale computer, and use the Sigma lite that I just bought from Nashbar to light it.
Awesome - thanks again, what would I do without this site ?
