I had another squirrel lie down in front of my front wheel last week. They really are the lemmings of the mammalian world.

I was amazed at how fast one of those little critturs tucked his tail and pulled his rear-end in just in time for my front wheel to miss crushing him!

Ya know, the way they run out in front of you, stop, start to run back the other way, then turn around again makes you just want to scream.

I got a pidgeon last week.

Ran it over front and back, cloud of feathers and ir 'flew' off only to land 3 meters later stone dead

My favourite squirrel website is at

www.eecs.harvard.edu/~yaz/en/squirrel_fishing.html

funny and scientific, too!! I'm sure some of the techniques demonstrated could be used to keep the furry critters out of your spokes!!

Thanks for the web address. This is GREAT. Two days ago, my husband and son found a baby squirrel in the middle of the road. They were worried it would get hit by a car. They went to pick it up, and all of a sudden, HERE COMES MAMMA! She chased them half way up the street. She picked up the baby and ran up the tree. They were scared!!!! LOLLLLL I have sent this web site to their e-mail addresses. They should get a kick out of it. I sure did.

There are so many skwerls here!!!! I just look out into the yard and there are atleast 10 of em eating acorns. Forget about bird feeders; they can break into even the skwerl proof ones! One day I was out with a skill saw cutting plywood for something and those are loud as you know, and this mid-sized "teen" skwerl was just sitting there and then ran up to our can and tried to smell her or something! Of course our cat would have none of this and ran him up a tree. Gotta love those skwerls. I too found a baby skwerl when I was little but unfortunately there was no mother to be found :(.
