Hello everyone, this is my first post so I thought I would mention how great my second commute was.
I have been getting ready to commute to work for some time. I have 3 kids ( 3, 5, and 8 soon to be 9 ) and never seem to have time to exercise. I loved bicycling in college so I figured this would be a good way to get back into shape. I decided to have 3 sympathy pregnancies with my wife, but I didn't drop a baby out after 9 months... :D
Anyways, my first commute friday was great in the morning, but sucked in the afternoon. 90 degree weather and high humidity made it seem like forever. It was only 10 minute longer than the morning, but seemed like forever.
My second day was yesterday. Awesome morning to ride in Columbus, OH ( actually I live just outside the outer belt in Plain City ). I cruised to work in good time for me at just over 30 minutes for a little over 8 miles. The ride home was great too. I saw a B-17. Not the seat :) An actual B-17. Pretty cool as it was only about 500 feet off the ground and looked to be heading into Don Scott Airport on the Northwest side of Columbus. Too cool since I love old airplanes. I don't know how many are left that can actually fly but this one was. It made my commute. Heck made my week. Anyways, thought I would share that and introduce myself.
As Austin Powers would say
"Allow myself... to introduce... myself."
