Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Yeah, that's right
Jersey XXL too small
Anyone else??
Is there a bigger size (and I have just lost 15 pounds!!)
Those Europeans must be mighty small!!
I also do a lot of weight lifting, and my top is pretty well developed, under the layer of fat :D
My wife say it might fit her!!
Damn Jerseys! I bought a XL Bianchi Jersey and it didnt fit. At the time i only weighed about 165, i guess they are made for people with smaller shoulders and small arms. Weight lifting and road cycling were always clashing for me so i switched to MTB so i dont have to always wear spandex hehe.
European sizes are often very small, especially cycling stuff. It's made for skinny guys like Gilberto Simoni.
I have the same problem; a lot of women's cycling clothing is made for skinny women with no bosoms, but I'm not exactly a big person- I'd be a medium in most sizes. Hind clothing, for example, is sized VERY small- the largest size (going by their charts) are too small for me. Nothing like that to make one feel like a moose. It's just that some stuff is made very small. Others are better, like MEC- their stuff is made for human beings! European stuff, forget it.

Take a look at Performance. I've seen some jerseys up to 4x (although I can't remember which ones they were).

I wear a 2X usually myself and I haven't bought a bike shirt but haven't really looked for one yet. Is an XX for 48-50 or 50-52 inches in a bike shirt?

Well, my wife tried it on, it fits her and she loves it and is going to keep it.
So, I guess that will be the end of it.
Normally, a XXL fits me just fine - the Performance or Nashbar are just fine.

I don't know, but the Performance and Nashbar 2x's fit just fine - in fact, they are just a bit baggy. I come close to wearing a XL - my "Ride the Rockies" Jersey is an XL, and it almost fits me. I just bought a sleeveless XXL, and it is great or just a bit big.
I guess it is the European cut.

I normally have no problem with a xxl (2x). It is just the cut of these jerseys that is small.

Joe, Could you not get a mountain bike jerset designed. They fit larger due to the armour need underneath?

Yup, I noticed this also. I bought a jersey (hey, the maglia rosa, what else!) while @ stage #9 of the Giro @ Caserta, Italy this year. I got an XL, even though I usually wear a L. The XL size is still smaller than all my American made L-sized jerseys!
The European women must have small breasts, because my jersey was too small too. It fits my husband, but he doesn't have cantalopes underneath his shirt. I would keep it, but he doesn't wear the jerseys. I am at a loss.....
By the way, I love the way it looks!!!! Totally cool, but I am sad because it is too tight, unless I leave it unzipped.....;)

The endowed must suffer. That what you get for quietly grinning when the boys try not to stare.
