Went to see this today, and it's the first time a movie has ever made me feel like I was gonna puke  It truly is the most disgusting joke in the world. Also one of the funniest! A great documentary.

Anyone else see this yet?

I thought I was going to die of oxygen deprivation, I was laughing so hard. I mean, the damned movie doesn't give you a moment's break. I'm practically grabbing people at random at this point, and telling them to go see it.

As I walked out of the theater, I overheard some chick say to her boyfriend, "They could have done that in fifteen minutes." So I, um, guess it isn't for everybody.

One question I have for those who've seen it; is it really just people telling the same joke over and over for two hours? I don't see how the joke,(which I've heard,) is going to be as funny the twentieth time in a row. But you know, it probably won't come anywhere near my corner of the Bible Belt, so I'll have to wait 'til it's on DVD.

no, it's just not the same joke over and over again. it's filled in with tons of interviews.

Best tellers of the joke:
Gilbert Gottfried
Bob Saget
Sarah Silverman
Whoopie Goldberg

The cool thing about the joke is that it was the same but different each time; everyone had a different way of approaching it. There was one guy that somehow incorperated an indigenous african village, and I wish I could remember who that was. His version was so great.

I was suprised at the amount of intelligence all the comedians demonstrated. Someone changed the punchline to "The Sophisticits" and somehow they were recognizing it as satire. They were also talking about why its the perfect joke, and I was suprised at the depth they showed answering that question.

I'm reluctant to say anything more about the movie because I don't want to give anything away. Its definatly worth your time though.

The missionary story? That was Martin Mull, and he was actually telling an entirely different (also classic) joke, but with the Aristocrats worked into it.

If that is the same “South Park” segment that’s in the movie it’s hilarious. My favorite was Billy the Mime – he acts out the joke on the street with people passing by who probably don’t know what’s going on.

It’s not the same (extremely dirty) joke over and over. The punch line is the same and the basic setup is the same but each comedian adds his or her custom riffs. The strength of the movie is that all of these famous comedians open up and talk to the filmmakers… it has an “inside show biz” appeal.

Not as funny as Wedding Crashers, IMHO.
