So, heres the story. I send my fixie into the shop for paint a few weeks ago.....get it back and it looks amazing, the same day my cranks arrive from ebay and I throw it all together. All except for a chainring, between 5 bike shops there isnt one 52t 130BCD 5 bolt ring in the city. So on monday I ordered one from my lbs, my bb came back from getting chased at the machine shop on tuesday, so its all together except for one chainring. On thursday I take a spill playing frisbee and break my tibia at my ankle. How's that for ****ty luck?
So the end result is one completely built fix that i wont be able to ride for at least 6 weeks. So tomorrow when I go to get my walking cast Im bringing an spd cleat and seeing if they'll put it in the bottom.
Thank god for bikeforums or else my couch ridden days would be much more boring.

That's one of the funniest things I've heard in a while.
Sorry for the leg break, that sucks.

Phew! I thought this was going to be something about you scratching the hell out of the paint job or something.
Glad it's just your Tibia... :p
Hope you feel better. And yes, pics please.

I wonder how the techs are going to figure out how to position it on the cast...forward, back, float etc...
While their at it...might as well get a bottle opener installed.

frisbee is a killer! i bruised/cracked a rib last month

bicycle frisbee is even worse. trying to figure out how to grab that frisbee while riding (especially fixed) is a good way to get a ribcage full of handlebar.

I've been away from Ultimate for almost a month now with a wicked muscle strain. I've also nearly ruined my knees already.
Won't the difference in height between the cleat on your shoe and the one in the cast create all kinds of weirdness while pedalling?
