Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Damn it all to hell. My bike was stolen, and it sucks. That is all.

That does suck. It happened to me. I eventually got another one. I hope you get it back and if not get another one soon. The worst part about it is the statement on humanity. When mine was stolen I just really hoped that the thief needed the money more that I did. Oh yea I wanted to pound his head in too. Good luck.

If your bike is stolen...borrow a friends bike and ride around with a baseball bat just in case you find him. ;)
That must suck a$$, what model/company was it?

Sorry to hear about your bike.
When I bought my bike 2 mo ago, the bike shop said my bike was covered under my homeowners insurance.
Not sure if that applies where you live, but if so....
Man that's too bad.
Go to the Salvation Army and get the cheapest, clunkiest bike you can and get a half decent OnGuard lock for the front of the bike and the Kryptonite Evolution for the rear of the bike. Don't give up cycling, man. It's not worth it.

I wont give up riding. It just sucks because it was my commuter, and a few months earlier I had to sell my other bike due to money issues, and now I have nothing. The bike was a Schwinn Frontier, but last summer I tore it all down and replaced almost everything and cleaned everything, I rebuilt the whole thing and now its gone. Im sure I will find it because this is a college town. Probally some drunk kid grabbed it because he was lazy and didnt want to walk anymore. It was stolen from my porch and it was my fault because I didnt lock it. And please dont lecture me because I already know and I did know. Really sucks because my liscence is suspended until December and I cant drive at all. But, my birthday is in less then a week, so maybe Ill get a new one.
This is the second time I have had a bike stolen, the first time it was stolen i figured it was gone forever. Then about five months later I was walking down the street and I saw a little gilr riding it. She said it was her brothers bike and I told her I was taking it back because it was mine. I gave her my name and number and told her if her brother had any problems to call me, but his ***** ass didnt. I hope that the outcome with this situation will be the same. You only should stee; from your place of employment that you hate or from the grocery store if you are homeless, you dont take someones bike, thats just wrong
