i think its to avoid the creation of useless threads. instead of everyone that wants to post pictures starting a new thread, everyone can just use the same thread useing up less bandwith.

I don't know why they were stuck. If the general consensus asked for them to be stuck, then we usually stick the threads. But if one or two people make a suggestion, we usually do NOT, and instead will ask around first and see what others in the forum think... or at least that's how I do it.

I checked through this forum and didn't see any real requests asking for stuck threads. I'll unstick the two newest ones and leave the other one... or do you guys want all three unstuck?

All three. There's no real point to having any of them stuck up there, because the threads in here invariably end up being derailed, anyway.

No problem. I'll unstick all three, and if people want information about those topics, they can go to the threads. I don't really believe in the sticky way either- if people don't want it, then it's no big thing to take them down either.
