Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. I've been here for five minutes and already have a PM. Thanks again Dave. ;)

I've been riding seriously (and not-so-seriously) for the better part of the last 10 years. For the first five or six years I spent time racing USCF road and track with some success. Then I had to get a job...

(The details get pretty ugly here so be warned...)
I almost gave up cycling.
(I told you.)

I don't ride as much any more (no time) but I am attempting to change a few aspects of my life to encourage more time in the saddle.

Maybe I'll get in some racing next season...(famous last words eh?)

I look forward to reading more (and posting if I can offer something of value.)

Have you considered commuting to get more time in the saddle?

It's funny that you should ask...check the Commuting forum and you'll see a thread I started about exactly that. :)

I'm doing a trial run tomorrow to see if I'm really up for the distance though. My office is moving on September 1st and the commute will go from about 12 miles to 24-26 each way.
