Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Non-stupid IRO Rob Roy weight question

Yeah, so, after searching the forums here for all references to the Rob Roy, doing an extensive Google search, hiring a crack team of reference librarians to scour all known written references to the IRO Rob Roy since Gutenberg invented movable type, and paying for a giant billboard on Sunset Boulevard with my question emblazoned on it--in other words, please don't anybody tell me to "do a search"--I am unable to find any real-world examples of how much the Rob Roy weighs. Either the frame, or the complete bike specced as available from IRO. I think there are a few Rob Roy owners up in here, right? Have any of you put it on a scale?

P.S. I am not a weight weenie, honest. I was just wondering how the RR compares to, say, a SS Surly Crosscheck.

I plan on doing that, too. But if he's as nice a guy as everybody says he is, he'll probably go and weigh one just for me, and I'll feel all bad and stuff. So I was just wondering if any forum people had already weighed theirs, is all.

With some educated guessing, I think we can take a gander here at what a Rob Roy would weigh. The Crosscheck frame is hefty; assuming you ride a 56-58 cm bike, frame and fork will easily weigh 6.75 lbs. The Rob Roy is a little bit cleaner, has fewer things welded (brazed?) on, and what appears to be a tighter rear triangle, but it's still steel, so I'd wager it's no more than 0.25 lbs lighter. At the very most, it might be somewhere in the 0.25-0.5 lbs lighter range, but I think I'll stick with my 0-0.25 lbs estimate.

But if you're really concerned about weight (and not about money) - http://www.bianchiusa.com/572.html. I know it isn't SS/FG, but that thing just looks awesome. Man, Bianchi makes some really cool bikes (not just Pistas, imagine that!). If I didn't know 'cross would be so late in the season (and therefore so f-ing cold) up here in NE, I might even want to do it.

That is nice. But too rich for my blood. Well, not really, but a lot of money to sink into something that I'll be riding (and locking up) on the street as well as off-road.
