Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - Hi Ten Frames??

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I saw some BMXs and Single speed on Craigslist in which the guy is like Hi Ten Frame....Im like ok thats junk. Is it me or is the whole concept just flawed.
Hi Ten stands for "High Tensile Strength" ?
*resisting urge not to complain about people using the word 'like' as above in written communication (it's bad enough when spoken)*
You're correct. Hi-Ten is junk.
from another site: Hi-Ten:
Short for high tensile steel. Basically what your car, your washing-machine and your lawnmower are made out of. It’s strong, if you use enough of it, but frames made with it end up feeling heavy and have a dead ride.
