Guess that says it. New bike has 31.8 oversized bars. My trusty old Performance headlight won't fit it, and the time for lights is rapidly approaching.

I prefer 10 to 15 W halogen, although when LEDs get that bright, I will change.

Call and ask for a new mount.
My light & motion didn't come with an oversized mount when i bought it, i had to buy one like 2 years later.

i just use some shims to make the fit on my light mounts tight enough.

cateye make different brackets for standard and OS bars for their lights

you could use a Minoura space grip which fits most handlebar sizes but allows you to continue using your old clamps.

Headstrong Lights (www.headstronglights.com) make lights that go from 7-20W halogen. Sealed Lead Acid battery = long, dependable life.
