Ok, can someone tell me which bottom bracket these (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7177378010&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1) cranks require? Where can I get one, and how much are they? Also, what do I need to use them with an American BB frame? Thanks.

Your best bet would be to phone Dans to see if they have a spare.

I would think something like this:
http://www.danscomp.com/cgi-bin/hazel.cgi?action=DETAIL&item=455096

But, you would have to get the cranks first and measure them. Redline made different stuff and it may not be based on one 'standard' size. Without knowing exactly what model type it was based on, it is hard to nail down a specific spindle diameter.

I Guess I'll have to pass then. I just need some 3 piece cranks for my Jester, and the chrome ones looked like they'd be perfect. I'm not ready to spend AU$200 for some Profile cranks to hang on a AU$500 cruiser.

If they came with a spindle you'd be in business, but the spline patterns varied, even between different cranksets with the same number of splines.

So who makes a black or chrome 3 piece crank that's not overkill for a beach cruiser?

If you're just going to throw it on a beack cruiser, why not just get some cheap Poverty forged cranks? Are you going to be XTREME BEACHCRUISNG or something where durability is an issue? There's also Truvativ, they make at least one or two recreational single sprocket cranksets that won't break the bank and are also available in euro BB.

if they take a 20mm spindle that bb from dans will work. redline uses mainly that bb for their cranks. except for the flights and the new ones.

I just need to replace the 1 piece with something better looking. Tubular 3 piece cranks look much better than the forged cranks, but I don't really want to throw money down a hole. It's got the American BB, by the way. It will be your basic Electa Jester, but in stealth mode. 7 or 8 speed Nexus, F/R roller brakes, and high pressure tires. Then I can cruise with my wife to the beach (She's getting the Rosie) but still have a bike that can go deceptively fast. Why? Because I can. :D

Ah, you didn't specify tubular cranks. Pretty sure Poverty makes a set, and the forged Poverty cranks don't look to ugly either, certainly more trick than 1-piece. Truvativ cranks might not even look too bad, either, but they don't make tubular cranksets. You can always keep sniffing around ebay for some old Redline or GT cranks still in a box.

Just my opinion but I think you should stick with a 1pc, just use a tioga sealed bb kit.

The sealed BB is a no-brainer, I agree with you there. But I like the look of black or chrome tubular cranks, I think they'd suit the bike. Bulletproof Components makes some alloy 3 piece cranks that look ok, and they're only about $20, so I may just go with them and be done with it.
