Commuting - My reward for commuting for three days in a row.

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I was riding home yesterday on the bike trail since it makes up about 1/2 of my commute and I see something up in the distance. Ah yes, its that time again. The MSU womens track(or CC) team on a daily jog in sports bras and running shorts. The site was so spectacular that I almost fell off my bike. I got a lot of smiles from them too. That felt good.

On a more serious note, I'm pretty proud of myself for going three days in a row. Each of those days I had stuff to do at home so I didnt drive my car for three straight days. That makes it about 11 miles a day on the bike and I've only been riding for a few weeks so my legs were quite tired so I decided to drive to work this morning and I wish I would've biked. I forgot how many stupid people drive. I wanted to give myself a little break today because sunday I'm going to ride 25 miles to my parents house. That will be the furthest I've gone yet.

Nothing wrong with a little eye candy ;) .

Keep it up. You'll be surprised how quickly your body adjusts to the new demands.

That's definitely a cross country team. Damn, I miss college running... ;)

I never understood why the football guys called us f*** and q*****. They were tackling other dudes while wearing tight pants, slapping each other on the butt, etc. We were co-ed, and got to hand out with a bunch of good-looking ladies each afternoon.

I gave myself a rest today but I'm going to go for a nice easy ride this afternoon. Tomorrow, I'll take a good hard ride in the morning and then sunday is the 25 mile trip.

Reminds me of the movie Bring it On (shut up, it was on TV and I was bored) where a bunch of the male cheerleaders are helping the female cheerleaders stretch their legs, and these two guys walk past. One of them says to the other "Maybe we should join the cheerleading squad." and the other looks at him in disgust and says, "F**!"
