Hey-

I am currently on a casati pista. it's a 55c-t. i am a half inch short of 6 feet. i was riding the other day, and couldn't help but notice that i felt kind of huge on this bike. i rode a 59c-t and it felt better...but now i am wondering what size you guys around 6 ft are running? crank length?

i'm 6 foot and just about 1 inch when standing up straight. a lot of legs. i also have a casati track bike, however its the monza model, early 80s. beautiful! it's a 58.5cm with quite a bit of seatpost jutting out. it's a little bit smaller than what i normally ride, but feels nimble. for a few years its always been 60cm, comfy however i always worried a little about the jewels if an accident were to happen. normal 165 cranks on both.

i am 6'1 and on my merckx conversion i ride a 57cm though it feels a little snug, but I like the sensation of how responsive it seems. on my keirin, its a 57 as well though I'm not finished building it, so i cannot comment on the fit :)

If you've got a few inches of excess standover then maybe you'd want to go for a longer seat tube, but if you're feeling cramped up it might be something you could fix with a longer stem.

I am 6'1.5" and have a long torso. I ride a 59cm x 57cm road conversion and it fits me just fine. Sounds like your frame might be a bit small for you if you have long legs.

I'm 6'1", normally ride very comfortably on my 60cm conversion with 172.5 cranks (and no, I've never struck ground on it); but I just built up a bike that was too beautiful to pass on despite the fact that it's a 53. Long stem and bullhorns make the fit okay, but I wouldn't ride it for more than 2 hours at a time.

55 does seem a little small. I am just over 6 feet and can fit on nothing less than a 58 or 59. I guess it depends on how lanky one is.

what is your inseam? just because you are 5' 11 1/2 " tall you will fit a 59cm very well.
