Been trying to log on for a couple of hours and was being told the forum was migrating to a new server. Now it's up and running. This is exciting! Looking forward to a faster forum. Thanks!

I agree!! We should all say "thank you" by becoming a contributing member if possible. I will be doing so later tonight....

The funny thing is the server didn't get changed, so all of you guys praising any preceived change - placebo effect.

Hmmmm water pills :D
Oh... there's no new server. Psych!
;)
Just kidding... that new server is much faster. I'm feeling the love and riding that server wave until we get our next 30,000 members and Joe needs to upgrade again! Thanks Joe!

There is a new server, it is up and running, and it is really really fast. Sadly, the move failed, we are still on the old server... :/

Aah, what I thought. Performance seems to be the same. Good luck migrating again!

Perhaps it was the reduction in users from the "Server Down" message giving faster response times. Whatever the case was, I have noticed a dramatic increase in performance since the "down" message. I used to wait about 20 seconds for any page to load, now it's 5-10 consistantly.
I've noticed a dramatic increase in response times, and I've been getting 404 errors every now and then.
Edit--sorry, not 404 errors, but DNS errors. I got one when I attempted to post this.
