Hello folks, newbie bent owner. I have a Sun EZ Speedster CX, interested in changing the gear (lower) for better climbing (clydesdale in the hills), wondering if anybody has any experience/advice on what works/fails.

It currently has 30-42-52 on the chainrings, and 32-11 on the 8-speed cassette.
So my lowest gear-inches is 24", based on f/r*26
I've got webpage about the bike here (http://www.thirdwave-websites.com/bike/sun-ez-speedster.cfm) .

On my commuter and road bike, I've swapped chainrings/cassettes for better climbing.
I'd like to do the same with my Speedster.
Any advice? Thanks in advance.

Sorry, no advice for you, but if you change something with your gearing and it works(or doesn't) let us know. We all seem to want better hill climbing.

Not much you can do about the cassette on the rear, but you could change the chainrings in the front to an MTB setup. It would affect your top speed, though.
