I'm just back from my hols, and probably won't be catching up with every post from the past two weeks - hey I do have a life ;)

So can anyone provide a short summary of what I've missed? - extra points for wit and style.

Richard

I haven't got mine yet, either. So I'm guessing they're on their way! :D

I've also been away for a couple of weeks. One week working away and one week's holiday. Did you have a good time, Richard?

Not bad thanks.

I had a few days down in the New Forest, including the chance to hire a bike (remind to avoid any hire bike with a 'comfort' saddle  ). I also had time for a couple of long rides at home.

Hope yours was good too.

I went to Malvern and played cricket for a week, then came home and played two more matches for good measure at the weekend. 7 games in 8 days, and my legs are tired. Went out on my bike on Monday evening, but didn't get very far!

And tonight, just for a change, I will be (can you guess) playing cricket for my work team!

Someone posted something about a piece of equipment. Three people said it was worth buying, seven people suggested an alternative, fourteen people went off on a complete tangent.

A new member posted a question about helmets and was asked to review the archives to see the zillions of previous helmet threads.

Another 300 members posted stuff onto the How Was Your Commute Today thread.

72 new threads were started by members wanting help on buying a new bike.

Chris L posted some more great jokes.

LittleBigMan posted some really odd yet interesting things that got us all thinking outside the square.

For no obvious reason 1362 posts ended with one of these.

17 members complained that it was too hot to ride where they are. 13 members complained that it was too cold to ride where they are.

MediaCreations made a few wise cracks with absolutely no idea what he was on about.

So you see, it was a fairly average couple of weeks.:D

In other words - "SNAFU"!

BTW, my jersey hasn't arrived yet either.

Mail to Canada is almost as slow as being overseas!

THIS IS A SAD COMMENTARY. PLEASE TELL ME THAT I FIND MORE INTELLECTUALLY STIMULATING MATERIAL THAN THIS IN A USUAL WEEK!! (BUT A FUNNY POST NO LESS)
