I can get a good deal on a White Brothers dual crown fork, but looking in their catalog this model (I think FR-3) says it can only be used on up to 5 3/4" head tube. Their full-on DH forks only say up to 6" head tube. Mine is 6 1/4 (wouldn't ya know it). Anyway, why are they so limited? The steerer tube on their forks is long enough. Any thoughts?

I have no idea. Its probably has to do with travel and moving the lower crown down too far. I have an FR3, its a pretty nice fork. How much are you getting it for?

My friendly local dealer offered to get me one for $570. Sounded like a good deal. Supergo is advertising the 2003 Boxxer for $670 (when they get it in stock, that is), I think it's maybe a better fork. My problem is I only have 4 1/2" travel on the back so I'm not sure if I want to go with 7" on the front. The WB would probably be the better fork for my situation but I wanted to know first why they only want it on a shorter head tube. Beats me, maybe I'll just try and see. Oh, is that a fair price for this fork? I'm not positive it's the FR3 but I think that's the one he quoted me. I do know it was not inverted...

Yea, they retail for $600 I think. I would try to get a used one, if I could sell you mine, I would sell it for $250. Go to MTBR and see if there are any there, they will probably be cheap.
