I have always bought my roadie tires off the rack (not that there's anything wrong with that) but my most recent quest to the $10.99 - $14.99 tire bin for a set of 700 x 23's at the LBS was fruitless.
I inadverdantly wandered into the "Adult" tire section and it was there I saw them, they were like no other tires I have ever hoped to possess, they were red, they teased me without shame about being specially engineered for the highly decorated racer and fearless cornerer, they were light and so plyable they came folded up in a box. They were the tires one might dream about. I made the commitment on the spot and took them home with me, and I have to tell you
