Previous articles and letters in WW relating to this incident have popped up in other threads; this is a new article that appeared in today's issue.

I didn't find the article particularly engrossing, but I've been really impressed with how WW has kept this story alive and so publically backed their employee. Too, I don't think I've ever seen any mainstream publication (granted, WW probably doesn't qualify as a mainstream publication) provide such a lengthy account of the consequences for the cyclist in even a relatively minor collision.

I think the largest part of the public backing of the story is that fact that the girl is a writer for the publication and not some mail-room schlub. She's writing from her own experience and if she's been there a good deal of time, they'll let her write what she wants.

Hopefully a non-cyclist will read her article and reconsider his or her driving habits in regards to cyclists.

They've given it a lot of coverage, though, in previous issues, and that's the front page story in this week's issue. I mean, obviously there's an element of "well, we need to put something on the cover," but still--I'm glad they chose to run that story.
