I just started with this forum basically to ask a question about a Cyclometer I recently bought, but am scanning through the posts and finding the whole forum very interesting.
I started riding a bike years ago and after 40 years of riding am enjoying it more now than ever.
I ride a Trek road bike 5 or 6 days a week for an hour a day and during the riding season I feel so much better than in the winter months.
Due to abuse and genetics the arteries in my heart were closing for years and apparently riding my bike saved my life because the excercise forced the formation of 'collateral arteries' to feed the area of my heart that would have starved due to one of the majors completely closing.
I'm happy to be here and intend to stick around a while and read the posts and who knows.....maybe an old timer like me can learn a thing or two here.

Wow that heart rebuilding arteries is really something! Never heard of something like that happening before. I sure am glad you are OK and can even ride now. What model is your Trek road bike?
