Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I cannot create a lot of suction with my mouth, and I purchased a bladder and tubing arrangement to increase my available water, and find that it is hard to get anything to drink out of it. The tube is fairly large bore (would smaller be easier or harder?) and I can only get a small sip at a time. Would a different brand be easier? would a shorter tube be easier? does the way you pack the bottle make a difference?
I currently have placed the bottle in a handle bar basket, and it is a Platypus brand. I sweat a lot when I ride, especially my back, so I am not keen to wear a backpack.

Check out this system: http://www.neverreach.com , tell them Danno sent you, they're really helpful. :) There's a list of retail stores, check out one local to you and see how it works.

I have tried two different hydro pack systems. The first one just took getting over that hurdle....could barely get any water for a while and then "bang" it was working right. But I wanted to a bigger bladder, so I got a 3.0L hydropack and it pulls out on th end (kind of like some of those reusable bottle drinks). You pull end end out a little and it gets water great..else you can barely get any through.
