Mountain Biking - Quality Seats

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I was curious if you knew of some very comfortable, yet durable seats? I do a lot of riding, where I happen to sit on the seat, and my current one doesn't feel comfortable after awhile.
I hear Avocet make nice ones, but perhaps some of your suggestions.

Serfas saddles are great, I'm on my second one. I have also used Selle Italia. Both of these companies make good racing/high performance saddles.

Of the seats that I have spent much time on, my favorites are:
#1 Avocet O2 - light and very comfortable...pretty $$$ new, though
#2 Vetta Tri-Shock - I buy leftover ones at bike swaps whenever I can. They are not as perfect a match for butt as the O2, but I can find them for ~$5
#3 Concor saddles from back in the day...but I've only tried them road biking.
Bottom line (hit you with the pun!) is that you just have to experiment. No one saddle can please everyone b/c everyone has different pelvises. Good luck!

Best advice to give is have a seat. Everyones butt is different and one one person loves another will hate.
I've got a Flite Ti on 4 bikes - even my freeride rig.
