I just put some clipless on my beater. THis is my first time using clipless. I really like it. I other bike is currently disposed since I broke the crankarm, but anyway I rode in a group ride with my beater, and I was able to keep up because of the clipless. I got a great understanding of the circular stroke. I had a question through. I find it easier to clip while the pedals are spinning. Well, maybe not easier, but more efficent. Do people stop the pedal, so that they can clip it, or do people try to clip while in the middle of their stroke. Thanks

Hey whatever works-- I have been known to do both, but you get more torque and a more efficient clip if you clip in during the pedal stroke--I love clipless, and won't go back to regular--you are right about keeping up!

after a while it becomes automatic you dont think about it and just clip in at any point,
