I need to find a bike shop in Coasta Mesa Ca. to ship a bike to. Any recommendations?

Before I ship this bike to my daughter's college student boyfriend, any suggestions on where to find a good used bike in that area? The bike I will ship is a 1988 Trek 950 Singletrack that's in excellent condition. This is the type of bike we are looking for. Any help is greatly appreciated.

My family lives in the neighboring city of Los Angeles. I don't know of any good bike shops south of USC. When I want a good used bicycle, I always look in the local paper's classified ads for one. I had have very good luck in finding my last used bike in the bargain section for 25 dollars!

I'd tell you, but you need to spell it right first.

Well excuse me Mr. Spelling Bee! How about we try this C O S T A M E S A. Is that better? Will you help me now or is Mr Grammer going to show up and waste some more bandwidth?

Oh, and on the help, don't bother.

You might try Craigslist in Orange County: http://orangecounty.craigslist.org/bik/ or San Diego. Or you can go to the Trek site and look for a local dealer http://www2.trekbikes.com/Dealers/Index.php. I'm surpised no one from OC has posted.

Try Sea Schwinn in Costa Mesa, and the "next city" is huntington beach, not los angeles! Sheesh!

I don't know about that. The Los Angeles Basin is now one big blur to me with all these newcomers and new housing developments springing up here.

My Sister regularly commuted to the South Bay each working day just a few years ago-from her home in Los Angeles.

Dang it, OC is not the Los Angeles Basin.... *sigh* nevermind, it IS becoming one big blur........ it's becoming one big swathe of houses and junk from the border to the south to Santa Barbara, there's still some open space between San Diego and OC but that's gradually being filled in.
