my brake pads are to slippy.
yesterday i use a friend pads and it was slippy on my wheels also, and my pads was ok on his bike.

It could be problem with my rims? somebody told me that i can use a sand paper on it but i try it on one side of the mavic wheel and it appear to be the same slippy brake.

What do you suggest?

Do i need to clean the wheel with something? or use more sand paper? or simply change wheels?

Help

Dear Abeloco,

Can you tell us what kind of brakes you have? What kind of rim (should be labelled)? Also, can you tell us if, under hard braking, your brake levers touch your hand-grips?

Sand papering brake pads might be temporary solution, but if the problem is with your rims or brake adjustment, you need a more permanent solution. Tell us more...
