Hi, my name is Jeff, and I am addic...wait, wrong forum. Anyway, I am new here, but have already found a lot of useful information in past posts. I'm afraid I'll mostly be a lurker, as I don't have time for much more than that.
I work in a bike shop in Minnesota, generally overseeing the service department. My experience with bikes goes back to the early nineties in Reno, NV, when I could usually be found making a nuisance of myself in one of several local bike shops. I think the owner of one shop got tired of me hanging around, so he put me to work assembling Trek 800's. So; 13 years, 10 changes-of-address, one wife, and two kids later, here I am.
For years I rode (sporadically) a '91 Specialized S-Works hardtail with Suntour XC-Pro components. Long live XC-Pro! I have recently sold that bike and now ride an '87 Gary Fisher Advance that I've tricked out with old junk found in the basement of the LBS where I work. Odd, I ride a bike older than several employees at the shop...
God bless,
