Hey guys,

I recently started the switch to clipless. I got Shimano 520 pedals and Shimano M021 shoes. I have to say I love clipless, its awesome. But I have found that i need thinner socks than the socks I wear on a regular day to day basis. Does anyone have any suggestions for good thin socks for biking? I dont want to spend $20/pair either. I dont plan on riding through mud, mainly just rode w/ trails.

Thanks guys
Matt

Go to walmart of target. They have some really nice socks that are coolmax or something. They're thin and cheap too. A couple of bucks for a 3 pack.

if you visit a performance bike store, they have 3 packs for around 8.00. I've bought 2 of those packs, they have held up well.

bostonfixed is right though, look for coolmax or go to a sporting goods store and see if they have runner's socks on clearance.

I think I payed around $10 bucks for a pair of socks at LBS. They are really nice too. All black with big red A in a circle on the sides. ;) They are made by Sock Guy. I also have a pair of socks made by DeFeet. Both of them are thing and quite comfortable.

The most comfortable socks I've worn are from Sock Guys.

DeFeet socks are pretty reasonably priced and tough as nails, comfy, and look good. I have one pair that I've been beating the crap out of for seven years. Worth every cent.

Gotta be no higher than ankle length for me or I will not wear them. Just standard kit. My favorite has beer steins on them..I have never paid more than $9 and those for the beer steins that I had to have..

5 pair a pack women's(my shoes men's 7) ultra thin cuff socks at Walmart. $3.76 a pack. I bought 4 packs.

They are made of 37% cotton, 34% polyester, 27% olefin and 2% spandex. They keep my feet drier than cotton socks.
Most comfortable for running and biking I found so far.
