The season is almost over, so it's to late to start now, but I am thinking about a winter project. Track bike build maybe? who makes good frames? what is a good price?

I hear the Look 496 is a decent frame. I think you can get it for around $10,000.00.

try building a frame that has fixed/freewheel. start learning to spin. get a low gear like 44x16 . Form is everything.

start basic and keep a journal and track everything. PM 165 he can tell you more and pass on the info I gave him..since tomorrow is my last day here.

Are you planning to ride this bike on a velodrome or on the road? If on the road only, many old road frames with horizonal drop outs on the rear will likely get you started at low cost. If on a velodrome, what type of riding, fitness, time trials or mass start races? Also short track or long track? All questions that should be answered before picking a frame and putting a bike together.
