After three attempts I have finally registered. Apparantly my internet provided, Verizon.net, is rejecting any email from bike forum. So I'm signed on with a yahoo address. Probably like most older folks, I've enjoyed riding a bike as a kid, but there is no comparison with what I did on a balloon tyred, one speed heavy steel "RollFast" bike and my current wheels, a Trek 7200FX Hybrid. Anyway it's the usual story, I'm getting old, I'm a couch potatoe, had one bypass, would like to live a few more years. Doc says exercize, I hate exercize, but as I did many decades ago, thought I'd try riding a bike. Left my RollFast at USMC New River air base in 1967. So new bike was in order. It has been over a year, and 600 miles so far this year, and I'm finally riding 20 milers. And still complaining about the damn seats. Have two more coming in the mail as I write. No the Brooks B 17 hasn't worked that well; although maybe the best so far. The Oley Valley of Berks County, PA has been the biking area of choice. As it has for many in Berks County. I'm currently breaking all the rules. Ride with NO helmut and headsets from mp3 player covering my ears. That's the way I like it, the bike groups in the area do not approve, so I ride alone.
