So I decided I want to start riding again but it's been awhile so I need some advice.
First of all I'm currently 325lbs (a wieght my docotor is very pleased with considering an exceptional bone and muscle density). According to wieght charts I should weigh in at 225 by I wieghed more than that in Jr. High. I am proportioned slightly off for someone that's 5'11 so I seem shorter and as a result few people realize I'm as heavy as I am. The problem is that I fit many places a person of my wieght shouldn't yet my mass is so great I'm really hard on structures like furniture and bikes which is why I'm here.
I can ride a traditional bike but I need to know am I better off getting cheap bikes and plan on replacing them often since I know few bikes will last long under the strain of my riding or are there bikes that could survive the constant structural strain I'd apply even in the simple act of commuting?
Oh I'll also mention I'm in the middle of Nebraska and own a used bookstore.
