a few days ago I took a close look at my velo 8 cyclocomputer, which I bought in april.
looking closely at the odometer, hey, I have exceeded 1000 km!
from jakarta where I live, that is bali island I have reached.
well, to most of you guys, one thousand kilometres is peanuts.
but for me, 1000km equivalent of approx. 600 miles in 5 months, I feel great.
since I am riding my bike only for transport, not sport, I started to calculate, how much money I have saved this past few months for not buying gas.
in Indonesia, one liter costs Rp.2400. if my car consumption is 1 liter reaching 6 km, means that my car needs Rp 400. per km.
I did 1000 km. so I have saved 1000 x Rp.400. = Rp.400,000. (fourty american dollars! )
not much huh?
perhaps it is because gas price is the cheapest, because it's subsidized.

just because I haven't saved much, does it mean I will quit?
