If you are just getting back into BMX, wait until you break things on the bike. Ive never rode a flair but looking at the specs online its not that bad for a beginner. If you really want to upgrade, try things that arent light that haro may have jipped you on. Remove unused pegs and/or buy lighter ones. Upgrade brakes and remove gyro. Cheap/heavy pedals? Cheap/heavy seat post? Cheap/heavy seat?

My suggestion? Before you rush out to spend money, spend some time reading the threads here, and learn a bit. Also see if you can learn anything from BMXTRIX.com, assuming it's still up.

Dude, WHY are you even worried about upgrading that bike? That's like one of Haro's top-end park/vert bikes. Learn to break it first. My advice is you take up road biking and learn what upgrading just for the hell of it actually COSTS.

He should get some CF headset spacers right away. Best upgrade ever.

I concur. All my bikes are equipped with carbon headset spacers now, including my fixed gear which has a threaded headset.

I may whack a few spares onto the Electra. I've already started replacing fender bolts with stainless. Ti is too nice to use. I've also got some anodized aluminum bolts to use on it. Maybe I should replace the fenders with some CF ones, but have them painted to match. Oh, the OPC's do suck. Haven't ridden a pair of those for at least 20 years.

taking off the front brake wont really change anything but very little weight, and they could benfit you if your going down a steep hill
