BMX - newb question, what bike?

im new to the bmx scene, although i have been doing motocross for several years, but i was wondering what is the best bike i could get for around $100, so basically what is the best bike at walmart or target? yes, i would like to start with a $300 bike, but im a college student without a job. oh and im more interested in flatland, although i may get into jumping and stuff later. so how can you tell the difference between a flatland bike and a street bike? thanks guys

Save your money and get a decent used bike. When you have a catastrophic failure on your $100 bike, and you break a bone or lose a few teeth, that extra couple of dollars you saved won't be such a smart move.

id also go with the rebel. MY friend has one and he loves it. HE jumps and everything. He said that there was no huge problem yet
